# Connect Klaviyo

Connect Klaviyo and Account Editor sends its customer messages to Klaviyo as **events**. You then build the emails in Klaviyo, with your own branding and flows. Connect it under **Features → Integrations**.

**While Klaviyo is connected, Account Editor sends no emails of its own.** Klaviyo does all of it.

## Connect it

1. Go to **Features → Integrations**.
2. Find **Klaviyo** and select **Connect**.
3. Approve the connection.

## What changes

* **Account Editor sends the emails** — Klaviyo gets events instead
* **You edit templates in Account Editor** — You build flows in Klaviyo

**Build the flows in Klaviyo first.** Connect after. Otherwise you get a gap where Account Editor has stopped and Klaviyo has not started.

## Good to know

**This is a handover, not a copy.** Account Editor stops emailing once Klaviyo is on. If emails go quiet, check this first.

**Your Shopify emails are not touched.** Order and shipping emails carry on as before.

**Disconnect and it hands back.** Account Editor starts sending its own emails again.

## Troubleshooting

* **Customers stopped getting emails** — Why: Klaviyo is on, but no flows exist yet — Fix: Build the flows, or disconnect
* **Staff emails stopped** — Why: Klaviyo took those over too — Fix: Expected
* **No events reach Klaviyo** — Why: The link failed, or was cut off — Fix: Connect it again
* **Duplicate emails** — Why: A Klaviyo flow overlaps a Shopify notification — Fix: Turn one off in Klaviyo

## FAQ

### Why did my emails stop?

Because Klaviyo is connected, and it now owns all of them. Build the matching flows in Klaviyo.

### Can I use both?

No. It is one or the other.

### Does it affect Shopify's own emails?

No. Your order and shipping emails are unchanged.

### What if I disconnect?

Account Editor starts sending its own emails again.
