Action Button
What the Action Button Does
The Action Button is the call-to-action (CTA) your customers click to accept an upsell.
It’s the most important element of your offer — the moment where interest becomes conversion.
This button text should feel inviting, confident, and natural for your audience.
Even small wording changes can lift conversions by 15–25 %.

Step-by-Step Setup
1️⃣ Locate the Action Button Panel
Inside your upsell offer setup page, scroll to Action Button.
You’ll see:
- A Button text input field, and
- A list of Quick Presets to pick from instantly.
2️⃣ Enter a Custom Label
Type your preferred button label directly into the Button text field.
Keep it short (2–4 words) and action-oriented.
Examples:
- “Add to Cart”
- “Get This Deal”
- “Yes, I Want This”
- “Upgrade My Order”
🧠 Tip: Use everyday language that sounds like a real customer decision rather than a sales pitch.
3️⃣ Or Choose a Quick Preset
If you’d rather not write your own, click one of the Quick Preset buttons.
Account Editor will fill in that label automatically.
Available presets include:
Add to Cart | Buy Now | Yes, I Want This | Get This Deal | Claim Offer | Shop Now | Order Now | Get Started

4️⃣ Preview Before Saving
The preview area of your upsell widget updates instantly as you type.
Check how your button looks on both desktop and mobile.
Click Save once you’re happy with the wording.
Writing Tips That Convert
Do | Don’t |
|---|---|
Use positive, conversational phrasing (“I’ll take it!”) | Use generic or pushy copy (“Submit”, “Buy Now or Miss Out”) |
Keep it 2–4 words | Write long sentences |
Match tone to your brand (friendly vs premium) | Copy competitors’ buttons blindly |
🧠 Pro Tip: Align your button tone with your store personality — playful for lifestyle brands, direct for B2B or luxury stores.
Real-World Examples
Store Type | CTA Text | Why It Works |
|---|---|---|
Beauty & Wellness | “Yes, Add It!” | Feels casual and affirmative. |
Tech Accessories | “Upgrade My Setup” | Suggests improvement, not extra cost. |
Apparel | “Complete the Look” | Ties the upsell to the shopper’s existing purchase. |
Home Goods | “Get This Deal” | Straightforward, trust-building phrasing. |
Why the CTA Matters
- 🖱️ Drives conversions: It’s the literal “yes” moment for the buyer.
- 💬 Sets tone: The button text reflects your brand voice.
- 📊 A/B test-friendly: Easy to tweak and compare performance later.
Common Mistakes
❌ Leaving the button blank — offer won’t show correctly.
❌ Using technical labels like “Submit Request.”
❌ Writing in all caps — can look aggressive.
✅ Keep it friendly, confident, and on-brand.
Example Best Practice
A coffee brand replaces the default “Add to Cart” with
“Yes, I Want the Bundle”.
Result: +18 % lift in upsell acceptance rate — proving that clear, affirmative language converts better.
